AUTHENTICITY POLICY
REVIEW VERIFICATION AND VERIFIED BUYER BADGE
Based on our partners' ecommerce platform partners' order histories, U-KOMI automatically checks reviews (Shopify, EC-CUBE, COLOR ME and others).
Merchants can seek manual verification by providing proof of orders if the evaluations are unrelated to previous orders (such as originating from the merchants' websites directly).
After the review has been validated by U-KOMI a verified buyer badge is applied.
The emblem may be translated and altered, but the merchants themselves cannot add it.
ASKING FOR A REVIEW
Buyers receive email requests or LINE messages for reviews from merchants based on settings and circumstances.
You can activate automatic reminders to remind buyers to write a review.
Merchants may also seek reviews from past clients, refrain from sending any automatic requests, or contact specific individuals directly.
Any review might receive a public or private response from the retailer.
GIVING A REVIEW
Customers may post a review using the review widget, the email review form, the popup from the review request emails, or the review form inside LINE.
Shop reviews are submitted through the All Reviews Page, whereas product reviews are submitted using the Review Widget.
Visitors may post reviews without providing their (trackable) purchasing history ("web reviews")
If the reviewer's email is not in the store's list of customers, they can be posted but without purchase verification cannot acquire a "Verified Buyer" badge.
The merchant can chose to display either a generic name, the name associated with the order, or a nickname for each review.
GROUPING REVIEWS
Based on the SKUs of the items, U-KOMI enables the exchange of reviews across products in the same store (a "Product Group").
Showing review outside your store
Enabling the following features will enable reviews to be shown outside of the store:
- • SKU, MPN, and GTIN are used as the product IDs in the Google Shopping: Automatic Product Reviews XML stream.
- • Activate app connectors to let U-KOMI share your reviews with other installed plugins and applications.
EDIT POLICY
Reviews can be changed to fix grammatical errors, formatting problems, or other minor concerns. However, in order to preserve the integrity of evaluations on (name of company), star ratings cannot be changed.
An email alerting the reviewer of any changes is delivered to them following an edit.
Any modification can be rejected by the reviewer by clicking on it in the email message.
The U-KOMI staff is informed of all reviewer modifications and rejections.
NO AUTHENTICITY RESTRICTIONS ON THE FREE PLAN
The free plan also includes "Verified Buyer" badges, review requests via email, and the reply feature.
REVIEW CURATION
Reviews can be published and hidden completely at the discretion of the merchant, and new reviews are automatically published by default.
Retailers can activate review curation to select which reviews to manually publish.
Customers can rely on U-KOMI medals given to retailers as a sign of authenticity and transparency.
Stores receive Authenticity medals if at least 80% of the reviews they publish are verified reviews and Transparency medals if they publish at least 80% of the total number of verified reviews they receive.
IMPORT OF LEGACY REVIEWS
Review import from other apps or via CSV import is possible with U-KOMI.
Only after consulting U-KOMI and verifying proof of orders can the "Verified Buyer" badge be given to imported reviews.
Data that can be imported includes the title, body, rating, review date, reviewer name, reviewer email and custom fields in addition to the product identifier.
